Weather Forecasting

This dog can finally forecast the weather ^_^

If smoke rising from a fire goes up in a thin vertical column, there would be fair weather. While low-rising smoke that hovers or "flattened out" would indicate stormy weather ahead, dog should learn to start fire first.

An 'ol sea dog once said, "Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning."

In the morning when sniffing around the ground for a sweet spot and if dog notice that the grass is real wet with dew and gets paws all wet, that means fair weather for the day, while dry grass would most probably mean rain before nightfall.

Birds and insects fly lower that normal to the ground on days with heavy, moisture-laden air. So that's what all that buzzing's about.

Say what?

It's been a long time since I heard anyone around me speak Cantonese, so I looked thru the iTune's Podcasts and found this ~ talkonly 講台 (完全版) Took me awhile to get into the groove of things at the speed they speak, but it's really refreshing for me to hear them speak Cantonese.

I'm hoping to find some video podcasts from HongKong too ^_^

Gaylord

What movie was it that one of the character went with the name Gaylord? Was it "Meet the Flockers"? Well, on another note there's this nice podcast that I've been subscribed to ~ the Earthwatch Radio by the Gaylord Nelson Institude & University of Wisconsin.

Nice short clips of information, just enough for me to be aware of issues that they bring up every week and not put me thru an overdose.

Apple Trauma

Apple Computer confirmed on Tuesday that it plans to introduce some "fun new products" next week, but declined to say more about what those products might be.

In an e-mail sent to journalists, the company merely said the invited scribes should come to Apple's Cupertino, Calif., headquarters next Tuesday to learn more.

"Come see some fun, new products from Apple," the company said in its invitation.
