Yesterday, today and Valentine day

Went to a house warming party on Sixth Ave, Friday nite. Hosted by a bachelor and bachelorette (house mates), so it was mostly drinks and some food. Drinks were great, food were mostly cold quite quickly, highlight was when lady host went around spoon feeding ice cream with warm tangerine. Sometime into the nite, I think someone had too much Martini and was totally stoned, lying on the floor drooling away, he's still cuddled up below the table when I left at 3am.

Woke up early this morning, thinking that I had overslept, it was only 8.30am. After breakfast, was lazing around a bit, the next thing I know I woke up again - now it's 7.30pm *gasp* I slept thru lunch. Watched a couple of Japanese DVDs I loaned from the host yesterday so that's the programme for the nite "Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence" & "Versus". I'm still a little dazed from too much sleep so I won't comment on the movies, but the anime storyline by Masamune Shirow is really good.

In a minute, it'll be Sunday and then it's Feb 14.
"Valentine's day!" My iCal had popped up a reminder earlier this morning when I turned on my mac, something that I had put into the calendar a few years back when it still meant something to someone. But I have always thought that it is too over-rated and commercialised but that's totally different depending on who's in your life at that point.
Right now, I am just perturbed thinking about it and being recently independent, so I'm turning off the pop up reminder for this particular day, for now.
