Free Accommodation!

I came across this website that's quite an interesting concept, a great idea in making the world a smaller and much friendly place, for all who wants to move around the world to meet real people instead of a tourist guide or your same country folk travelling in the same tour group. And if you have time to spare or space to share for the occassional traveller, go ahead and register yourself too.

Catch no Ball

Seem like someone is really on the ball in Bath, England - Dr Ken Bray, a sports scientist at the University of Bath had noted that the Adidas ‘Teamgeist’ football has just 14 panels - with fewer seams - making its surface ‘smoother’ than conventional footballs which have a 26 or 32 panel hexagon-based pattern.

Because the Teamgeist ball has just 14 panels it is aerodynamically more similar to the baseball which only has two panels." Hence, when hit with a slow spin, will make the ball less stable, giving it a more unpredictable trajectory in flight.

The ball, which has been used by teams competing in the World Cup in practice sessions, has already been criticised by England goalkeeper Paul Robinson and Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann for its light-weight and unpredictable behaviour.

WooooO @_@"
the Blah blah version here

Should Germany be concerned, now that scientist in England brought up the issue? ^_^ When's the match between Germany and England again?

The Research

The title started out with -
Orange, Grapefruit Juice for Breakfast Builds Bones in Rats

But what really got me sitting up was -
Castration was necessary, the researchers said, because the hormone testosterone is known to reduce antioxidants.

Stolen

My little red bicycle, stolen. It had for the past few months been lock secure at the void deck of my block. Hopefully the one that took it saw a bigger need for it than I did, I had not been on it for awhile.

I had wanted to report it stolen at the neighbourhoor police post, on Monday, but as it was 15mins to 12pm when I arrived (on Monday), the 2 police officers that were present couldn't take my statement as they indicated that they were not opened yet and is still starting up the computer system. (It opens at 12pm)

I had always thought that Police Posts, be it neighbourhood's or any other Stations, were never closed.

Toys Dept

Had to go birthday present shopping for a friend's kid over the weekend, the same weekend where I went to brave the immensely huge crowds at the PC Show in Suntec - there was hardly any shuffling space to move and yet amazingly there were people who bring their kids in strollers, I shall not attempt to comprehend.

So I took off and went on my birthday present hunt, for a 5 year old boy, at the only toy dept that I'm familiar with - at Takashimaya.

When I had asked the boy's mother what her kid is into this year, I heard PowerRangers. But not till I got to the toy dept did I realised that there were so many different types of PowerRangers these days. I spent a good hour and a half there (probably more) trying to figure out which is which, in the end I gave up and bought something totally different.

Did yo know that these days they make remote control cars that are the exact replicas of the on-the-road car model, like this BMW Z4 r/c model, that was like one and a half feet long.

p.s. HD prices sure are falling.
