Tarot tarot tarot

Looked like almost everyone is in on it... so here' s mine, hee. Avert your eyes lest ye be blinded by my brilliance, haha.

You are The Sun

Happiness, Content, Joy.

The meanings for the Sun are fairly simple and consistent.

Young, healthy, new, fresh. The brain is working, things that were muddled come clear, everything falls into place, and everything seems to go your way.

The Sun is ruled by the Sun, of course. This is the light that comes after the long dark night, Apollo to the Moon's Diana. A positive card, it promises you your day in the sun. Glory, gain, triumph, pleasure, truth, success. As the moon symbolized inspiration from the unconscious, from dreams, this card symbolizes discoveries made fully consciousness and wide awake. You have an understanding and enjoyment of science and math, beautifully constructed music, carefully reasoned philosophy. It is a card of intellect, clarity of mind, and feelings of youthful energy.

"That puppy is too young to be out for a walk." The thought went through my mind, I was just about ready for my BK breakfast at Toa Payoh Central, when I saw this woman dragging the puppy along as her daughter walks on in front. The beagle puppy looked barely 2 months old and is so obviously not wanting to walk any more.

The next thing I saw, was not very pleasent. Because the puppy stopped on it tracks, the woman jurked the leash upward and lifted the puppy off the ground. The puppy was on a collar! At least get a body harness, pls

* Picture on right is not said puppy, but is a beagle pup.

Somewhere Beyond the Sea

All thanks to a friend, who put the tune in my head while shopping in Mustafa last night.
Woke up this morning to the tune still on loop, I can't get the tune out of my head, at least now I have the lyrics to go with the tune of this Bobby Darin classic -

Somewhere beyond the sea
Somewhere waitin’ for me
My lover stands on golden sands
And watches the ships that go sailin’.

Somewhere beyond the sea
She's there watchin’ for me
If I could fly like birds on high
Then straight to her arms I’d go sailin’.

It's far beyond the stars
It's near beyond the moon
I know beyond a doubt
My heart will lead me there soon.

We'll meet beyond the shore
We'll kiss just as before
Happy we'll be beyond the sea
And never again I'll go sailin'.

I know beyond a doubt
My heart will lead me there soon
We'll meet … I know we'll meet … beyond the shore
We'll kiss just as before.

Happy we'll be beyond the sea
And never again I'll go sailin'.

Been captivated lately with Questionable Content, a comic strip done by a certain J. Jacques.
The development of his drawing style over the pass year is an interesting note too, so is the story development.
I'm now at strip #638 and counting.

Pleasantly entertained on a daily basis.

Elvis the penguin

A penguin called Elvis wears a pair of blue shoes specially designed by wildlife experts to protect his sore feet.

He and 16 other penguins having moved into the Penguin Encounter display at the International Antarctic Centre in Christchurch, New Zealand in September were given the shoes after several penguins developed sore feet since arriving at their new home.

The Allegory

Had a conversation over dinner sometime back, about being in a relationship. About the difference between being involved or committed, the metaphor used - pork and eggs.

You know how the story goes, a relationship is like a plate of pork chops and eggs. Where the pig was very much committed, while the chicken was only involved.

Now at this point the dog would be thinking - just look away from the plate for a sec and I will have both commitment and involvements.

Hmm... the dog.

Next up we will be talking to the pigs. Cause the chicks are busy getting involved in a few more gourmet relationships.
