A good thing

Missed a step today and sprained my right ankle.
OUCH!

The first thought that went through my head and subsequently out my mouth - OUCH!!
Just plain ole OUCH.

Now the good thing out of this incident is, I was nowhere near sprouting any form of explicit cussing.

At this very moment my ankle is swelling up and throbbing.

OUCH!
OUCH!!
OUCH!!!!!

Now I've to limp over to turn the switch for the TV on.
Did I mention it's SWELLING... well it is.

OUCH!!!!!!!!

Dilbert & Dogbert

I'd have prefered it better if Dogbert had his own blog. LOL

Anyhoo, here's what Dilbert aka. Scott Adams - the creator, have to say about his blog that started just earlier this week.

When I see news stories about people all over the world who are experiencing hardships, I worry about them, and I rack my brain wondering how I can make a difference. So I decided to start my own blog. That way I won’t have time to think about other people.

People who are trying to decide whether to create a blog or not go through a thought process much like this:

The world sure needs more of ME.
Maybe I’ll shout more often so that people nearby can experience the joy of knowing my thoughts.
No, wait, shouting looks too crazy.
I know – I’ll write down my daily thoughts and badger people to read them.
If only there was a description for this process that doesn’t involve the words egomaniac or unnecessary.
What? It’s called a blog? I’m there!

The blogger’s philosophy goes something like this:
Everything that I think about is more fascinating than the crap in your head.

The beauty of blogging, as compared to writing a book, is that no editor will be interfering with my random spelling and grammar, my complete disregard for the facts, and my wandering sentences that seem to go on and on and never end so that you feel like you need to take a breath and clear your head before you can even consider making it to the end of the sentence that probably didn’t need to be written anyhoo.

You can find the Dilbert Blog at http://dilbertblog.typepad.com/

Hold the Spam

The comment posts for this blog had been getting splattered with totally irrelevant comments lately, so I have had to put up some restrictions for comment entries for now.

Sorry Momotea but this would affect you, being not able to post comments, but I know you're there :)

It's still here somewhere

The other day someone commented that those who have difficulty revealing things about themselves most probably have difficulty letting the past go, this I felt made some sense.

Perhaps it's time I should take look into my pass and do some serious cleaning up.
I think I should be getting there, once I finish sorting out and cleaning up with the apartment. Yup, it's still in a mess and everyday, I'm still waking up to loads of stuff strewn all over the living room, waiting to be sorted, same kinda mess in the bedroom too.

I'll get thru it slowly, right now I'm finding enjoyment in the mess.

Life for Rent

Woke up in the morning.
It's Friday no?
Had choc chip cookies and milk for breakfast.
Turned on the TV and caught Survival **yawn**

Logged online to check how the local stock market is doing and looked for cheap grabs.

Decided to paint the walls in the study.
Only managed two walls.
Might need to put another coat on it tomorrow.

Went to town and have my video cam cleaned and checked.

The train was almost empty and very peaceful, good.
5pm.

Just got back.
It's a Friday nite.
Tomorrow would be a little more eventful.

iPod evolution

Finally! The convergence of all the media into one thin, sleek mobile device. So cooool!

I'm gonna be waiting to see how many generations of iPod I can live to see evolve. Since the day I had a colour screen on my cell phone, I knew the iPod would eventually come with a colour screen.

But what is really getting my heart pounding is that Apple is gonna be selling TV shows from ABC, Disney and most probably more major producers via the iTune store, WOW! Current shows without commercials available the day after they are shown on network TV - downloads of Desperate Housewives and LOST for just US$1.99 - for a 1 hour episode! I wonder what the compression quality would be like.

Maybe I can religiously buy up all the LOST episodes and forget about getting the DVD box set. LOL
And I have not even considered buying the new iPod yet, MuhaHahA!
Christmas wish...

Mocha run

Took the JRT out for an errand run to Holland V yesterday afternoon, the weather was scorching and the sun was blazing. After a while the dog got smart and started hiding in the shades, the ground surface must have been terrible to put those small paws on. She must have been glad when I carried her, on the way home.

Back at the apt, I've decided to clear out some old stuff and clean up the whole apt in the process. I did not forsee that it'll take quite a while, my whole place is still in a mess with stuff stacked up all over the place and dust everywhere. Been at it since the weekends and I wun be seeing an end to this mess just yet.

It's kinda nice in the evenings when I plonk myself down on the sofa hidden under all that throw cushions and survey the stuff all over the living room.

Some of the walls would be needing a new coat of paint after I shifted some furniture around. I saw a couple of live silverfish, in latin it's Lepisma Saccharina

Lepisma \Le*pis"ma\ (l[-e]*p[i^]z"m[.a]), n. [NL., fr. Gr. le`pisma peel, fr. lepi`s -i`dos, a scale.] (Zo["o]l.) A genus of wingless thysanurous insects having an elongated flattened body, covered with shining scales and terminated by seven unequal bristles. A common species (Lepisma saccharina) is found in houses, and often injures books and furniture. Called also shiner, silver witch, silver moth, and furniture bug.

Now I know why they're called that, real shinny buggers.

Just one bloody month

Well, it was just one bloody month ...
... I did not blog at all.
... 3 major hurricanes & mass destructions.
... designer labels are all set with their Spring fashion.
... spent 2 times more than I earned last month, bills will be hell.
... the year ends in 3 months.
... there was a spike in my electric usage, more to pay.
... a serious fire haze from Indonesia that crippled most of Malaysia.
... Amazing Race is back on air again, so is Survival bitchiness.
... 2 guys got summoned to court for racist remarks in their blogs.
... students got deciplined for flaming teachers on their blogs.
... Singapore's version of Maxim mag. officially sucks.
... SuperFunkies on Channel U is terrible.
... my annual insurance bills are pouring in.
... this blog needs a revamp.
